Data to be submitted by freestanding ambulatory surgery centers
This regulation requires freestanding ambulatory surgery centers to report certain kinds of procedures to the DHS, including but not limited to operations on the integumentary system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, cardiovasculat system, digestive system, etc. The regulation gives a list of data elements to be included in each such report, including but not limited to patient control number, medical record, date of procedure, patient gender and birth date, payer information, diagnosis code, physician license number, type of bill, etc.
The regulation further discusses procedures for submission of this data, deadlines for submission, ways to ensure confidentiality of data, verification and comment procedures, etc.
