The director of health must create a “healthcare information technology and infrastructure and advisory committee.” The committee will provide advice regarding: (1) the use of HIT by licensed healthcare providers and facilities; (2) recommendations for implementing a statewide, interoperable HIT infrastructure and establishing standards data exchange; (3) criteria for selecting projects to receive HIT funds; and (4) other issues specified by the director of health.
