Controlled substances therapeutic research program established – Participation - R.I. Gen. Laws Ann. § 21-28.4-1

Rhode Island authorizes the director of health (“director”) to administer the “controlled substance therapeutic research program.” The director has the authority to protect the privacy of program participants’ identifying information. Persons authorized to access identifying information may not be forced to disclose such information during a legal proceeding but may disclose such information to the director if necessary to ensure the proper administration of the program.
