Standards for medical records when prescribing controlled substances for the treatment of chronic, non-cancer pain.
Identifies 13 elements that physicians must include in a patient’s record when prescribing a controlled substance for chronic, non-cancer pain. These elements include the patient’s signed consent form, test results, instructions given to patients on use of the controlled substance, the patient’s medical history, etc.
