The Patient Safety Center must:
- Review research that will help health care providers and plans identify and improve “systemic problems” that contribute to medical errors, decrease patient safety, and decrease care quality.
- “Serve as a clearing house of information for health care providers concerning quality improvement strategies and best practices.”
- Report its findings to the governor, legislature, and public.
