Health insurers must allow individuals to gain access to cost-sharing information, such as copays, deductibles, and premium. At a minimum, this information should be made available through the insurer’s website. However, this provision does not apply to supplemental health insurance policies. This provision is a part of the mandated federal health reform law, so the provisions do not take effect until Jan. 1, 2014.
