Unprofessional Conduct
Alabama defines “unprofessional conduct” as an act or omission that harms patients or the public welfare and “violates the high standards of honesty, diligence, prudence and ethical integrity demanded from [licensed Alabama physicians].” Examples of unprofessional conduct include failing to maintain patient records and violating rules established by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners or the Medical Licensure Commission.
