Admissions
Establishes standards for the admission and transfer of ambulatory surgical center patients. Requires ambulatory surgical centers to disclose transfer costs prior to admitting a patient. Establishes standards for emergency services provided by ambulatory surgical centers. Requires ambulatory surgical centers to provide a patient’s medical records, test results, and informed consent when transferring the patient on an emergency basis.
