The Delaware Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline may discipline a physician for “unprofessional conduct.” Delaware defines unprofessional conduct as including, among other items, dishonorable or unethical conduct and the willful violation of a patient’s confidentiality. Permissible methods of discipline for unprofessional conduct include fines or suspension or revocation of a physician’s license.
