Information to prospective patients on hospital charges; notice
Hospitals must make the normal charge of a procedure available to any patient who is considering that procedure. The Department of Public Health requires all hospitals to post the established charges for services, including the hospital’s:
- Private room charge
- Semi-private room charge
- Charge for a shared room
- Intensive care room charge
- Emergency room charge
- Operating room charge
- Electrocardiogram charge
- Anesthesia charge
- Chest x-ray charge
- Blood sugar charge
- Blood chemistry charge
- Tissue exam charge
- Blood typing charge
- Rh factor charge
