“Medicaid benefit delivery under the agency of human services regulations”
The Office of Vermont Health Access must develop and maintain the following for the Medicaid program:
- An internal quality assurance program that monitors health care services provided by all health care providers to Medicaid beneficiaries;
- An internal quality assessment and quality improvement system capable of identifying opportunities to improve the quality of care; and
- Utilization review activities.
Health care providers offering care to Medicaid beneficiaries must maintain clinical records that allow the effective delivery of care and quality review.
