“Serious Incident Reports”
A clinic must immediately report to the Department any of the following that occurs on premises covered by its license:
- unanticipated death,
- full or partial evacuation of the facility for any reason,
- fire,
- suicide,
- serious criminal acts,
- pending or actual strike action by its employees,
- reports on surgery, and
- anesthesia-related complications, or any other serious incident or accident.
A clinic must also immediately report to the Department,any suspected instance(s) of abuse, neglect, mistreatment or misappropriation of a patient at a nursing home, rest home, home health, home maker or hospice facility.
