“Interpreter Service – Requirement”
The law establishes that acute care hospitals, which provide emergency services, must provide competent interpreter services in connection with all emergency department services to every non-English speaking patient. The hospital shall comply with the provisions of competent interpreter, 105 CMR 130.1101 through 130.1108 and Mass. Gen. Laws Ann.ch. 111, § 25J.
