On March 10, 2015, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) released a data brief regarding hospital reporting on meaningful use public health measures in 2014. The brief shows that more hospitals are engaged in the electronic sharing of data, which often saves time and resources necessary in identifying disease outbreaks and in tracking disease trends through time. The brief also showed the differences in measure reporting between stages 1 and 2 of meaningful use. Read the data brief here.
