Two new comparative maps, Disclosure of Mental Health Records Pursuant to a Court Order, and Disclosure of Mental Health Records with Patient Consent, have been posted. Disclosure of Mental Health Records Pursuant to a Court Order, which can be found here, compares instances where state law indicates that records may be released pursuant to a court order, in which cases privileged information must be removed, and shows the states where there are no identified laws regarding disclosure pursuant to a court order. Disclosure of Mental Health Records with Patient Consent shows the few cases where states may withhold release of records under extenuating circumstances in comparison to states where records may be released with patient consent and where no laws were identified regarding release of records. Disclosure of Mental Health Records with Patient Consent may be found here.
