Health Information & the Law Announces a New Expert Interview Series: Perspectives from the Field

Health Information & the Law announces a new interview series, Perspectives from the Field, which will allow users to hear directly from experts in the fields of medicine, health policy, and law on issues related to the use and exchange of health information. These candid interviews reveal some of the challenges and opportunities leaders in the field have encountered related to sharing health information as the health care system continues to evolve toward a more patient-centered, value-based system. The series starts off with three interviews, available here on our Multimedia page:
  • Eric Goplerud, PhD, senior vice president and director, NORC’s Substance Abuse, Mental Health, and Criminal Justice Studies Department;

  • Neil Calman, MD, ABFP, FAAFP, president and CEO, Institute for Family Health and Chair, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai; and

  • Jeff Levi, PhD, executive director, Trust for America’s Health and Chair, Obama Administration’s Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion, and Integrative Public Health.

A new interview will be posted approximately every month.  Materials available include streaming audio with accompanying visuals, downloadable interview transcripts, and links to related materials and resources.
